Features

SURETrack Carriage

Smoother, faster travel — every lift.
Bolt-together, field-serviceable rollers stay on the track and swap individually. Prevents walk-off and derailing. Serviceable in place, with less maintenance and downtime

Dual Drive System (DDS)

Even, balanced travel from a centered motor.
A center-mounted 2 HP drive delivers equal torque to both sides, eliminating the twisting and racking of end-mounted systems. Modular shaft sections and stocked chain and sprockets make routine service straightforward.

Open Wide-Flange (W-Beam) Columns

See it. Reach it. Inspect it.
Counterweights live between the flanges behind bolt-off covers — visible for corrosion checks, reachable for rebalancing with hand tools. No sealed structure, no guesswork.

Working-Height Drive Beam

Service from the ground.
Drive beam at 8–9 feet — no lift rental, no elevated work permit, no waiting on equipment. Routine service happens the same day.

Push-Button Control + Emergency Manual Override

Simple to run. Safe to recover.
Push-button control mounts on the platform or at grade. If power or plant air is lost, a manual hand wheel raises or lowers the cage. Upper and lower limit switches stop travel automatically at working and stored positions.

Standard Sizes

Seven standard sizes priced and drawn in real time by our proprietary configurator — no engineering queue or long delivery time. Off-the-shelf beats engineered-to-order by months.

Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes are available?

Seven standard lengths from 15 to 33 feet in 3-foot increments, and widths from 4 feet (trucks) to 9 feet (railcars). Custom sizes are available when the application requires them.

What power options are available?

Pneumatic air, electric (single- or three-phase), and explosion-proof electric motors for Class I locations.

What happens if power or plant air is lost?

A manual hand wheel raises or lowers the cage. Upper and lower limit switches stop travel automatically at the working and stored positions.

How is the MaxRack XR different from other elevating safety cages?

It ships off the shelf in seven standard sizes rather than engineered to order — quotes and drawings are generated in real time by a proprietary configurator. Every unit is factory-tested before delivery, and the drive beam sits at working height so routine service happens from the ground.

How long does the MaxRack XR last?

Bolt-together, standardized components are engineered for a long service life. Non-proprietary chain, sprockets, and hardware are available off the shelf for straightforward, low-cost maintenance.

What certifications does the MaxRack XR meet?

OSHA 29 CFR 1910 fall protection, AWS D1.1 and D1.2 welding, and ASTM A123 hot-dip galvanizing.
