Your EPC Partner for Safe Access and Bulk Loading

EPC firms rely on SafeRack for pre-engineered loading racks, gangways, and modular access. Faster lead times, single-source packages, and OSHA/MSHA/ANSI compliance built in.

SafeRack works alongside EPC project teams as a single-source partner for truck, railcar, and marine loading platforms, gangways, modular stairs, mobile work platforms, and fall protection. Modular inventory, in-house engineering, and same-day 3D renderings compress the path from FEED to closeout — so critical-path scopes stay on schedule, and RFIs stay off your desk.

FAQ

Does SafeRack work directly with EPC firms and general contractors on new-build and retrofit projects?

Yes — dedicated project management and a national Regional Area Manager (RAM) network that supports EPC teams from FEED through commissioning. SafeRack is a full-solution partner and authorized distributor for complementary access brands, giving EPCs a single PO for loading racks, gangways, stairs, mobile platforms, spill containment, and fall protection.

What are typical lead times from PO to delivery?

Modular, pre-engineered systems ship from inventory in days for ErectaStep stairs/platforms, and 30–45 days for full loading rack packages after PO(shipping estimates typically start after receipt of signed approval drawings not at receipt of PO) A more involved project with loading arms, longer platforms, and canopies could move out to 60 days)
Check out our case studies: 3-day energy substation stair install, 72-hour pigging platform install, and 35-day PO-to-delivery on a railcar loading project.

How does SafeRack support the design and specification phase?

Our proprietary 3D configurator produces same-day renderings and budgetary quotes, compressing weeks of front-end engineering into hours. In-house engineers work in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Navisworks and can deliver stamped drawings, IFC models, and clash-detection files.

What codes and standards does SafeRack design to?

OSHA (29 CFR 1910 Subpart D — Walking-Working Surfaces, including 1910.28 and 1910.29), MSHA, ANSI, ADA, IBC, and SPCC/EPA for spill containment. Welding conforms to AWS D1.1 and D1.2.

What certifications and quality systems back the manufacturing process?

ISO 9001:2015 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environmental) certified. OSHA SHARP certified. 2025 TRIR of 0. On-time delivery of 97.3% vs. an 83% industry average and world-class threshold of 95%+.

Can SafeRack deliver a single-source package across loading platforms, gangways, stairs, arms, and fall protection?

Yes — one PO covers loading racks, gangways (G4, GXm, MaxRack), ErectaStep stairs and platforms, ErectaRack pipe racks, loading arms, spill containment, safety cages, YellowGate self-closing gates, and Upside canopies/shelters. One project manager owns the scope from kickoff to punch list.

How does modular, pre-engineered equipment compare to stick-built alternatives on schedule and cost?

Modular eliminates the weeks of custom engineering typical of stick-built scopes and arrives ready to bolt together — no welding or hot-work permits required for most ErectaStep installs. Field cases show installations finishing in hours or days versus months.

What deliverables does SafeRack provide for our engineering and construction packages?

Budgetary quotes with 3D renderings on day one; stamped structural drawings; IFC/Revit-compatible models; anchor-bolt and foundation loading data; O&M manuals; as-built documentation at closeout; and PE stamps by state where required.

Do you provide installation, or do we contract that separately?

SafeRack will provide supervision, and we don’t do any installation. Turn-key installation is available, scheduled around production windows (nights, weekends, planned outages). For projects that handle their own install, SafeRack can send a field advisor for the kickoff and QA.

How do SafeRack systems integrate with our fall protection plan for truck and railcar loading?

Gangways, safety cages (MaxRack), and YellowGate self-closing gates are engineered to close the working-side gap on truck and railcar spots — guardrails at 42″ ±3″, toeboards ≥3.5″, and self-closing action to satisfy OSHA. We integrate OSHA platform handrail specifications into our rolling stock and marine access solutions. Why is this important? Because there are no specific design standards spelled out for rolling stock in OSHA guidelines. They note only the general duty clause, and offer up no specific design specifications.   Systems can be tied into existing PFAS and anchor points where applicable.

Do you support brownfield retrofits with existing rack, canopy, and piping constraints?

Yes. RAMs conduct on-site surveys and safety walks; engineering teams model around existing steel, piping, and canopy constraints. Case examples include constrained-space custom trolley-beam fall protection and interior pipe-rack installs inside operating facilities.

What industries and project sizes has SafeRack delivered?

Energy & refining, midstream terminals, bulk chemical, cement & frac sand, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, pulp & paper, marine. Public reference projects include Kinder Morgan/Watco terminal collaborations and hundreds of documented installs across North America.

Product is of high quality and is fairly priced. If I ever required a urgent shipment, SafeRack would help expedite the process for me. The salesperson was always readily available and willing to help provide me with options for what I was looking for. The swing gate is easily adjustable and can be site installed to fit a wide range of dimensions. I would recommend this product not only for the reasons above but the company has been very responsive when ever I needed assistance.

Good price for a high-quality product! Unbelievably fast service. I had these products on order for 6 weeks from a competitor of yours, and when I called to check on them, I was told there would be an additional 9 weeks before receiving them. You had them IN STOCK and in the material that the customer needed. The customer is installing this morning! Good price for a high-quality product!
