Comprehensive Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Support for Downstream Oil and Gas

SafeRack provides front-end engineering design (FEED) studies and full engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) support under one roof. Our team of industry experts is available for consultation months—even years—before a project reaches its Final Investment Decision (FID). Engaging early in the process ensures a well-planned, cost-effective solution that enhances downstream oil and gas safety solutions and operational efficiency.

The FEED phase serves as the foundation for EPC execution, outlining the engineering design used to guide procurement and construction. These studies are typically divided into separate packages, covering different portions of the project to ensure seamless integration.

Unlike other manufacturers that claim EPC capabilities, SafeRack brings specialized expertise in fuel loading, truck and railcar loading safety solutions, and bulk liquid transfer safety equipment. Our deep knowledge of oil and gas downstream solutions ensures a superior, scalable, and cost-efficient system that meets the evolving demands of fuel terminal loading platforms and refined product transportation safety.

FAQ

How do SafeRack’s gangways improve safety during energy product loading and unloading?

SafeRack’s self-adjusting gangways provide safe, OSHA-compliant access to tank trucks, railcars, and barges transporting crude oil, natural gas liquids, and refined fuels. Equipped with four-rail safety cages and available in powered options, our gangways minimize fall risks and ensure safe, efficient loading and unloading in high-volume energy operations.

Can SafeRack’s loading arms handle corrosive and flammable materials?

Yes. SafeRack’s carbon steel loading arms are built to safely transfer a wide range of energy products, including crude oil, LNG, and petrochemicals. With PTFE-sealed swivel joints for chemical resistance and vapor recovery systems for EPA compliance, these arms are designed to withstand harsh environments while maintaining safety and efficiency.

How does SafeRack help prevent spills and environmental hazards at energy facilities?

SafeRack provides a range of spill containment solutions, including pans, berms, and wheel chocks, to capture leaks during the transfer of oil, gas, and petrochemicals. These systems help energy facilities stay compliant with EPA regulations while protecting workers and the environment from hazardous spills.

Why is grounding important in energy loading operations, and how does SafeRack help?

Grounding is critical in energy operations to prevent static discharge, which can ignite flammable vapors during the transfer of crude oil, LNG, and refined fuels. SafeRack’s grounding and bonding systems ensure a secure ground connection before product flow begins, reducing fire and explosion risks and maintaining compliance with OSHA and NFPA standards.

Can SafeRack customize safety platforms and access systems for energy facilities?

Absolutely. SafeRack offers customizable access solutions, including gangways, platforms, stairs, and fall protection systems, specifically designed for the complex needs of energy facilities. Our modular systems are built to withstand harsh environments while improving worker safety and operational efficiency.

What Customers Are Saying

★★★★★

Great experience. The product is easy to put together and was exactly what I was looking for. I like the fact that ErectaStep can be taken down and re-assembled quickly as well as it's sturdiness and how easily it is to order the parts to make the ladder longer or taller. Great experience.

Delivered right on time. I am an industrial project manager. When I am shopping for a product, I want it shipped when I ask it to be shipped. Not before, not after. I asked for delivery to a job site 45 days after I ordered, and 45 days later, the product arrived. Timing is essential in my work, in all work.

The wrench was delivered in 1 week. The wrench was delivered in 1 week. We use the tool for tightening lags. Because of the height of the tool, it allows the user to be able to stand in more of an upright position as opposed to having to bend. This will help promote better posture and eliminate back strain.

My rep, Brandon Harrison, was highly capable. My rep, Brandon Harrison, was highly capable. It was an unplanned replacement of an existing platform. Not matching the existing carriage system would prevent an easy replacement. Cost of the rack could have also prevented the purchase, but a good design gives a good final product that was easy to install and easy to use. The use of the unloading platform was not intuitive to some operators. I found it best to push the top step to start lowering the rack. Some operators just used the side handles with much more difficulty. A placard that says push here may be useful. Overall, I would recommend this product, it feels sturdy, has a good safety color pattern, and is easy to maneuver.

He was great! It was a very professional experience. My experience was completely positive from the very quick call back after an internet inquiry to getting the right product ordered. Being located in New York City, like other large cities, the cost of installation can be very expensive. With this modular product we are able to use our qualified in-house engineers and get this product installed in a difficult location safely.
