Maintenance workers who service and repair equipment on rooftops often encounter a variety of obstacles. For instance, pipes, utility lines, and ducts that may span a portion or the entire length of a roof. Workers typically attempt to get around these obstacles by climbing over or under them. This combined with the constant exposure to the elements can make navigating rooftops incredibly dangerous.
