This 18′ stair tower at a sugar refinery in Northern California replaced steep, unsafe stairs with all in-stock ErectaStep stair components.

Sometimes you just have to get to a higher level, or over something in the way. Sure, you could use a ladder, or jump over/on the obstacle to get to the other side, but is that the best way? Probably not.

This installation presents a better way. SafeRack provided an access solution for a sugar refinery to get to a second level in a relatively tight space. The best thing is that they received it days after ordering and installed it with just a couple of people.

With ErectaStep’s patented prefabricated modular components, this metal stair installation didn’t require custom fabrication, special tools, or long install times. Using off-the-shelf, in-stock components this access stairway tower was fast and easy to install. From issue to installed fix in less than a week? It’s hard to even get a call back from some people in that timeline…

This sugar refining facility located near San Francisco, imports raw can sugar from Hawaii producing over 700,000 tons of bulk and consumer sugar products annually for the US market.
