This Access Platform Located in Hanford, CA Has Two Tracking Gangways and is Used for Clearing Debris from Incoming Trucks Filled with Pistachios.
A Hanford, CA pistachio facility uses this access platform with customized gangways to access the top of inbound trucks with harvested pistachios. The SafeRack Gangways are on a track to easily move the gangway into position without repositioning the truck. Also, the
track mounted gangways have been customized with a railing that closes off the end of the gangway so workers can safely remove debris from the top of the pistachio load. Unlike our other gangways with
large safety cages, this installation required workers to reach the top of the truck load without actually standing on the vehicle as with tanker trucks to access hatches.
Track Mounted Gangway
Not all railcars, trucks, or cargo vessels are made the same. While ports and compartments are often spaced differently, track mounted gangways can help workers access the locations they need to reach multiple hatches on a truck or multiple railcars.
Track mounted gangways slide horizontally, giving operators access to multiple hatches and vehicles from a single platform, saving time and money.
