Kerosene/Jet Fuel Loading: Safe, Efficient & Compliant Solutions
Leaders in Kerosene & Jet Fuel Loading – Optimizing Safety, Reliability & Performance
Kerosene, also known as paraffin, is a combustible hydrocarbon liquid derived from petroleum. It is commonly used in aviation fuel loading arms, domestic heating, and as a solvent for industrial applications. Kerosene is less volatile than gasoline, with a flash point of 38°C (100°F) or higher, making it a relatively stable fuel for transport and storage.
With a boiling point between 150 and 300°C (300-575°F), kerosene is classified as a middle distillate of crude oil, similar to diesel fuel. It can be produced as straight-run kerosene, physically separated by distillation, or as cracked kerosene, created by breaking down heavier oil fractions at elevated temperatures.
SafeRack provides industry-leading jet fuel loading platforms and kerosene truck loading racks that ensure safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance in fueling operations. Our safe jet fuel loading systems incorporate grounding systems for jet fuel loading, spill containment measures, and ergonomically designed equipment to streamline workflow and protect personnel.

Supporting Safer Work Environments with Reliable Access Solutions
Jet Fuel Loading Systems Designed for Safety, Reliability, and Operational Excellence
A typical jet fuel loading system includes multiple components designed to enhance safety and operational efficiency while meeting OSHA jet fuel loading requirements. SafeRack’s solutions are engineered to minimize risks and maximize throughput at fueling terminals.
- Bottom Loading Arms – Our aviation fuel loading arms are available in top and bottom configurations, featuring API couplings, Viton seals, and carbon steel or aluminum construction for durability.
- Grounding Systems – Proper grounding is critical for preventing static discharge and ensuring safe operations. SafeRack provides grounding systems for jet fuel loading that offer continuous electrical continuity through swivel joint bridge straps.
- Safety Shower & Eye Wash Stations – Essential for OSHA jet fuel loading requirements, these stations provide immediate decontamination in case of exposure to kerosene or aviation fuel.
- Spill Containment Measures – Designed to prevent environmental hazards, SafeRack’s containment systems help mitigate risks associated with jet fuel loading platforms.
- Loading Arm Support Towers – Provides structural stability for aviation fuel-loading arms, ensuring efficient and safe fueling operations.
- API Couplers & Swivel Joint Bridge Straps – Enhance flexibility and ease of use, providing secure and reliable connections between fueling equipment and transport vehicles.
- Parking Latch & Sensor Integration – Improves safety by ensuring proper alignment and secure storage of loading arms when not in use.
