Monthly
  • Inspect chains and sprockets – use light weight oil if needed for lubrication.
  • Inspect idler sprockets – add lithium based grease every 3 to 6 months.
  • Check all bolted connections to ensure that they are properly tightened.
  • Inspect unit for damage that may have occurred while in use, that may effect operation.
  • Inspect tracking carriage rollers for damage and/or wear. (Rollers are sealed and should not require maintenance)
  • Check tracking area for debris build up, product accumulation, or obstructions.
  • Check cage for cracked and/or broken welds.
  • Tighten all bolts on the drive beam, including torque tube connections and motor connections monthly.
  • Any pneumatic filter should be drained. *if the filter reservoir is full of water, consult a SafeRack representative
Quarterly
  • A water rinse may be applicable if units are getting coated with product on a daily basis or in a measurable time frame.
  • Check plumb/square of all verticals to insure system is settling correctly.
  • Check all connections on the horizontal cage at each and every connection.
  • Inspect bearings for debris build up / seizure.
  • Check oil level of gearbox and reducer, top off with ISO 460 polyglycol lubricant as needed.
Annually
  • Pack bearings via grease zerks with lithium based grease.
  • Change oil in gearbox annually or ever 2500 operating hours. All standard system use ISO 460 polyglycol lubricant.
    *System in extreme cold weather enviroments should check with SafeRack before adding fluid to the gearbox.
