Trailer Stabilizers and Truck Jack Stands

Trailer stabilizers are a must if you’re servicing or unloading a trailer that is not connected to the tractor. Our range of industrial jack stands can stabilize or level a trailer up to 75,000 pounds in both single and paired units, helping also to prevent the trailer landing gear from sinking into soft ground. Jack stand signs alerting workers of potential danger can be included to further enhance the safety of your operation.

Our Trailer Stabilizing Jack Stands are not cheap imports but are made to last. Features include Zerk fittings for constant lubrication, replaceable wheels and screw assemblies, and reinforced axles. Crane Stops are made for overhead bridge cranes, either for wheel contact or bumper contact.

Trailer Stabilizer Aluminum

Aldon GUARDIAN Trailer Stabilizer Aluminum | Item #: 4013-15

  • Instead of adjusting the stabilizer to the height of the trailer, use the landing leg handle to adjust the trailer to the stabilizers!
  • Most trailers dropped off at a dock are 46 in above the pavement.
  • Our 45-in Fixed Height Stabilizers slip in easily under the nose.
  • To adjust the trailer nose up or down, use the low gear setting of the landing legs handle.
  • It takes less than 30 seconds to lower 1 in and less than 10 seconds to raise 1/4 in to remove jacks
Adjustable Height Trailer Stabilizer Jack

Aldon Trailer Stabilizer | Item #: 4013-13

  • 75,000 lbs. proven load capacity.
  • Lightweight with a balanced handle.
  • Powder Coat Finish
  • Adjustable Height 42″ – 46″
  • Weight: 72 lbs.

ALWAYS use two jacks at the front of each trailer for good stability. A single jack in the center will not prevent side-tipping. If one or both of the legs give way, a single jack in front will act as a fulcrum and not be able to overcome the tipping action.

Safe use of Jack Stands

  1. For proper support, use two (2) Jacks per trailer. A single Jack will not prevent side-tipping.
  2. The load Capacity of Jack must be equal to the gross weight of the trailer.
  3. If the driveway slopes, the load capacity is reduced due to side-load on the jack. Take this into account when using jacks.
  4. The trailer must be securely blocked (wheel chocks or dock-lock) when Stabilizing Jacks are used.
  5. Place Jacks on firm flat ground.
  6. Top plate of the jack must be in snug contact with the underside of the trailer.
  7. Aldon Jacks are designed to support semi-trailers. Do not use this product for any other purpose.

Always use two jacks per trailer.

Make sure the trailer is properly blocked before you install or remove stabilizing jacks. Don’t trust a cheap jack stand to hold a few tons of weight above your body or when loading trucks. Because trucks sit higher than most vehicles, jack stands need to be sturdy and secure against horizontal movement.

Position jacks near the front corners of the trailer. Make snug contact with the smooth steel underbody on each side of the kingpin.

Do not install jacks on transverse floor beams of the trailer behind the kingpin.
